In alignment with CDC recommendations, we are asking that you wear a mask (whether or not you are vaccinated) when inside the barn and where you cannot adhere to social distancing of 3 feet. Peaceful Pastures
The Peaceful Pastures quilt was made especially for Simple Changes Therapeutic Riding, LLC. These days our lives are too filled with stress but at Simple Changes we can live with healing, peace and love of the horses. I believe it is this peace we must carry with us.
This is a quilt made of 100% cotton fabrics including the batting and backing. As such there will be some shrinking in the laundering process. That is as planned. The wrinkles and gathering of the fabric created by the natural shrinking process adds what I call a “patina” to your quilt and gives it a soft, wonderful feel. If you would prefer to NOT have this happen, wash in cold water and dry in your dryer in cool heat and lay it out where it can finish drying slowly. There may still be some “tightening up”.
Because my quilts tend to have bright colors, I always recommend that these quilts be washed in warm (not hot) water with Shout Color Catcher. This product is easily found in the laundry product aisle of your grocery store. With Color Catcher, you will not see any running colors. Anytime I wash my quilts I use Shout Color Catcher even if I have washed this quilt a number of times before. If the Color Catcher tissue is white at the end of the wash, you will know that the colors have stopped any run and you no longer need the Color Catcher for this quilt.
Most of the time, this quilt can be “cleaned” with a good shake and it is ready for snuggles again. This quilt is made to be USED and LOVED. If it gets used for TV watching, book reading, napping and gets dragged around the house, it is giving the love intended.
